Summary:A packaging machine and method for producing a packaging with a packaging machine, in which a lower material web is unrolled from a supply roll and transported along the packaging machine and at the same time a material to be packaged is placed on the lower material web and, to complete the packaging, an upper film is sealed to the lower material web in a sealing station, the packaging is cut from the upper and lower material webs, the cutting of the lower material web takes place partially upstream and partially downstream of the sealing station and/or partially upstream and partially in the sealing station.
