Summary:The invention relates to a first female plug connector (1) for connecting lines for liquid and/or gaseous media to a second male plug connector (2) to form a plug assembly (3). The first plug connector (1) comprises a plug connector body (4), a receiving sleeve (8) and a sealing element (10). The receiving sleeve (8) is fixedly held on the plug connector body (4). The sealing element (10) is arranged in a receiving groove (11). A first groove side surface (12) and a groove base surface (14) are formed by the plug connector body (4), a second groove side surface (13) being formed by a first wall portion (15) of the receiving sleeve (8). The first wall portion (15) has an orientation directed towards the longitudinal axis (5). The invention also relates to a plug assembly (3) having a first and a second plug connector (1, 2).
