Summary: | During installation, a power converter, for example an inverter for connecting a photovoltaic system to an electrical grid, activates a monitoring mode in which various grid parameters are monitored. The measurements are used to determine the operational parameters of the power converter. The power converter is also provided via a user interface with an appropriate grid code, which defines parameters such as voltage and frequency of the AC grid to which the power converter is being connected. An operational mode of the power converter may be established, based, at least on part, on the operational parameters and the grid code. In the event the grid code and the operational parameters match, the power converter may be activated for electrical power production based on the operational mode. When the grid code and the operational parameters do not match, an error condition may be raised. |
