Summary:The invention relates to a laser-writable marking label (1) for attaching to an assembly (2) to be marked, comprising an engagement opening (120) and an engagement section (13) which can be guided through the engagement opening (120). The marking label (1) is designed as a strip which is elongated along a longitudinal direction (L), and the engagement opening (120) and the engagement section (131) are mutually spaced along the longitudinal direction (L). The engagement section (13) has at least one protruding section (130) and a plurality of sections (131) which are set back relative to the at least one protruding section (130), wherein the at least one protruding section (130) and the set-back sections (131) are connected together in an alternating manner along the longitudinal direction (L).
