Summary:Adhesive articles with strippable liners are described. In particular, adhesive articles including an optional substrate having a first and second major surface, an adhesive layer provided on the first major surface of the substrate, and a strippable liner in contact with the adhesive layer including a polymer layer including polybutylene succinate and from about 0.5 and about 5 polymer weight percent of a plant-based wax are described. Liners from such articles may exhibit good release performance while being compostable.
