Various examples of the disclosure provide a method comprising: communicating (720) location information indicative of a determined geographic location of a mobile device to a server computer (210); receiving (730) at least one point of interest, POI, map from the server computer based on the location information, wherein each POI-map is associated with at least one POI and comprises segments representative of navigable elements of a navigable network, and wherein each POI-map has data indicative of segments that have less than a predetermined probability of being traversed en route to the at least one POI or from which the at least one POI cannot be reached; determining (750) a segment of the at least one received POI-map corresponding to the determined geographic location of the mobile device; and preventing outputting a notification associated with the at least one POI of the received at least one POI-map in response to determining (760), based on the data of the at least one received POI-map, that the determined segment has less than the predetermined probability of being traversed en route to the at least one POI or that the at least one POI cannot be reached from the determined segment.
