Summary:Disclosed is a manual and electric dual-mode trailer hitching apparatus, which relates to the field of trailer hitching apparatus. In cases of motor faults or lack of power, the trailer hitch may be manually maneuvered to rotate. The manual and electric dual-mode trailer hitching apparatus as disclosed includes a trailer hitch and a driving device for actuating the trailer hitch; wherein the driving device comprises a housing, a motor, a transmission arrangement, a main shaft, and a rotary shaft, the trailer hitch being coupled to the main shaft, the rotary shaft having an automated position and a manual position, the rotary shaft comprising a first transmission section, a second transmission section, and a rotating section; wherein when the rotary shaft moves axially to the automated position, the first transmission section is fitted with the transmission arrangement, and the second transmission section is fitted with the main shaft, such that the motor drives the rotary shaft and the main shaft to rotate synchronously via the transmission arrangement; wherein when the rotary shaft moves axially to the manual position, the second transmission section is fitted with the main shaft, such that the rotary shaft rotates relative to the transmission arrangement; and wherein a locking member is detachably mounted on the housing, the locking member being configured to hold the rotary shaft at the automated position.
