The invention relates to an apparatus for measuring the temperature of a multi-purpose melting device, said apparatus comprising: an electrical circuit, which is designed to measure the temperature of the multi-purpose melting device, the electrical circuit being designed to be connected directly or inductively to a further electrical circuit of the multi-purpose melting device; a measurement circuit, which is designed to measure a current and/or a voltage of the electrical circuit; and an evaluation circuit, which is designed to determine the temperature of the multi-purpose melting device depending on the measured voltage and/or depending on the measured current and/or the measured voltage, the electrical circuit preferably being designed to provide a heating power for the multi-purpose melting device.
