Summary:The present disclosure relates to an adapter and a rail socket, which belong to the field of socket technologies. The adapter includes a socket body, a guiding body, a movable conducting strip and a control member. The guiding body and the movable conducting strip are both disposed on one side of the socket body facing away from jacks. The control member is connected to the movable conducting strip in a transmission fashion, and configured to drive the movable conducting strip to rotate relative to the socket body. By adopting the adapter provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, when the adapter needs to slide on a rail, the control member can be operated to control the movable conducting strip to rotate relative to the socket body until the movable conducting strip is detached from a rail conducting member, and the adapter is then slid, thereby realizing the uncharged sliding of the adapter in the rail.
