Summary:The present invention relates to a delivery conduit for supplying a flow of gases from a gases supply means to a patient, the delivery conduit comprising a part of an electrical circuit, characterized in that the part of an electrical circuit includes a heater wire to heat to the gases flowing through the delivery conduit; and a temperature sensor connected in series with the heater wire, and positioned at or near the end of the delivery conduit nearest the patient, wherein the part of the electrical circuit is adapted to be used to provide measurements of a temperature of the flow of gases supplied to the patient through the delivery conduit.
