The invention relates to the field of systems, preferably industrial systems. The problem addressed by the invention is that of providing an apparatus, a method, a use of the apparatus and a computer program which simply and cost-effectively monitor at least five elements (4) of the system that perform a movement. The problem is solved by a cable antenna (1) and a passive transponder (2) which can be detected by the cable antenna (1). The transponder (2) or the cable antenna (1) is attached to the element (4) such that a position of the transponder (2) and the cable antenna (1) changes during the movement of the elements. An evaluation device (3) can determine the movement of the element (4) on the basis of transponder signals received by the antenna (1) and can detect a deviation from a predefined movement.
