Summary:This breast pump includes a main body provided with a hood attachment part to which is attached a hood that is fitted to a breast and has a milking opening, a bottle attachment part to which is attached a bottle for storing the milk, and an internal passage that extends between the hood attachment part and the bottle attachment part; a diaphragm attached to the internal passage and configured so that a negative pressure is generated in the internal passage; a handle that is manually operated; a connecting part that connects the diaphragm and the handle and is configured so as to displace the diaphragm in the pulling up direction in response to the movement of the handle; and a volume reducing part that is inserted into the internal passage and is configured to reduce the volume of the internal passage.
