The invention relates to a ship comprising a metal inner shell having an inner surface and an outer surface, an outer shell arranged outside the inner shell and facing the outer surface, and at least one tank arranged in the inner shell and supported against the inner surface of the inner shell, the tank comprising at least one tank wall, the inner shell comprises a plurality of shell plates welded to each other, the vessel comprising at least one transverse element passing through an opening created in the inner shell and in the tank wall, the at least one shell plate abutting the opening; wherein the vessel comprises at least one metal sheet comprising at least one aperture through which the transverse element passes in the region of the inner shell, the metal sheet having a thickness greater than the thickness of the at least one shell plate adjoining the opening, the metal sheet being welded to the at least one shell plate adjoining the opening, the metal sheet extending around the opening. The invention also relates to a transfer system for a cold liquid product and a method for loading or unloading a vessel.
