Summary:The present technology relates to a display device that makes it possible to suppress the influence of heat generation with a higher degree of certainty.The display device is provided which includes a signal processing unit that processes an image signal and a sound signal, a plate-like panel unit that displays an image according to the image signal, and a vibration unit that is deployed on the rear face side of the panel unit and causes the panel unit to vibrate in response to the sound signal. The vibration unit includes a plurality of vibrators, and the signal processing unit outputs the sound signal not only to a sound output vibrator that is a vibrator of an output target of the sound signal from among the plurality of vibrators but also to a dispersion sound output vibrator that is a vibrator of a dispersion target of the sound signal. The present technology can be applied, for example, to a television receiver.
