The fitting may also have a second fitting part pivotable about an axis relative to the first fitting part and connectable to the backrest of the vehicle seat. The first fitting part and the second fitting part may be constituent parts both of a gearing unit of the adjustment fitting and of a locking unit of the adjustment fitting.
