Summary:An adjustment fitting for adjusting an inclination of a backrest of the vehicle seat may have a first fitting part, and a second fitting part which is pivotable about a central axis of rotation relative to the first fitting part and is connectable to the backrest of the vehicle seat. The first fitting part and the second fitting part may be components both of a gear unit, such as a planetary gear, of the adjustment fitting and of a locking device, such as a detent lock, of the adjustment fitting. A vehicle seat having the adjustment fitting is also disclosed.
