A method and device are disclosed for controlling a thermoforming apparatus configured to perform at least one thermoforming cycle, wherein the thermoforming apparatus is connected to a touchscreen (8), wherein a plurality of icon segments (9) are shown on distinct regions of a screen of the touchscreen (8), wherein each icon segment (9) is associated with a respective operation of the forming cycle, wherein the lengths of the various icon segments (9) are proportional to the durations of the respective operations of the forming cycle, the various icon segments (9) being parallel to each other and positioned along a time line (13) that graphically represents the respective operations in chronological order, and wherein an operator can vary the length and position along the time line (13) of each icon segment (9) on the touchscreen (8) by touching so as to consequently vary the initial and final moments of the respective operation.
