Summary:Known clamping channels for water tank covers fill with water when it rains and the water can drip off in an uncontrolled manner on the engine compartment side. In order to prevent this, the invention proposes a groove strip (100) for connecting a first component (200) to a second component (300). Said groove strip comprises a fastening portion (101) extending along the groove strip (100) and having a first supporting element (104) for the first and/or the second component (200, 300), which first supporting element is arrangeable on a component contour portion of the first component (200), and an engaging portion (102) extending along the groove strip (100) and having an engaging groove (103), which is open at both ends of the groove strip (100), for receiving an engaging rib (301) which is enveloped by the second component (300). A second, preferably sealing support element (105, 105', 105") for the second component (300) is provided on the engaging portion (102). The engaging groove (103) comprises at least one engaging element (106, 109) by means of which the engaging rib (301) can be interlockingly and/or frictionally fixed to the engaging groove (103) such that the second component (300) and/or the engaging rib (301) thereof contacts the second support element (105, 105', 105"). The invention prevents water from dripping off in an uncontrolled manner.
