INTEGRATED COMBUSTOR NOZZLE WITH FLUID MIXING ASSEMBLY

A fluid mixing apparatus (100) includes mixing conduits (150) that extend through a fluid plenum (132) and that define injection holes (154) therethrough. The fluid plenum (132), which surrounds a first wall (110) defining a main passage (112) fluidly coupled to a low-pressure fluid source (115), is...

Summary:A fluid mixing apparatus (100) includes mixing conduits (150) that extend through a fluid plenum (132) and that define injection holes (154) therethrough. The fluid plenum (132), which surrounds a first wall (110) defining a main passage (112) fluidly coupled to a low-pressure fluid source (115), is surrounded itself by a second wall (120) defining a high-pressure plenum (122) fluidly coupled to a high-pressure fluid source (125). The mixing conduits (150) fluidly couple the high-pressure plenum (122) to the main passage (112), and the fluid (136) from the fluid plenum (132) is delivered with the high-pressure fluid (126) to the main passage (112), where the fluids (116, 126, 136) mix before being discharged from an outlet (118) of the main passage (112). The fluid mixing apparatus (100) may be used to mix one or more fuels with high- and low-pressure air in a gas turbine combustor (17, 70).
