Summary:A wireless device (14) is configured for use in a wireless communication system (10). The wireless device (14) is configured to determine a wake-up signal, WUS, group (11-1) to which the wireless device (14) belongs, based on a third function (f3) of a device identifier (14A) for the wireless device (14). The third function (f3) is different than a first function (f1) of the device identifier (14A) based on which a paging frame (3) of the wireless device (14) is determined and/or is different than a second function (f2) of the device identifier (14A) based on which a paging narrowband or carrier (9) of the wireless device (14) is determined. The wireless device (14) is also configured to monitor for a WUS (18) that indicates wireless devices in the determined WUS group (11-1) to which the wireless device (14) belongs are to wake up.
