Summary:The invention relates to a tyre with a radial carcass reinforcement formed by a single ply of reinforcement elements, turned up around a bead core such as to be anchored in each of the beads. According to the invention, the turn-up of the carcass reinforcement ply and the main part of the carcass reinforcement ply are coupled to one another, and these are the only plies of reinforcement elements present in the sidewall with an elongation at rupture of less than 6 %. The arrangement and selection of the polymer blends in the region of the bead of the tyre enhance the endurance performance regardless of driving conditions after ageing over a long period of time with inflation with high levels of oxidising agents.
