Summary:A multi-layered cleansing composition capable of removing a stubborn makeup cosmetic such as waterproof mascara, giving a non-oily feeling during wiping and a non-sticky feeling immediately after use. A multi-layered cleansing composition comprising the following compornent (A) to (E): (A) from 0.003 to 0.3 mass% of a polymer comprising a monomer chosen from (a1), (a2) and (a3): (a1) a monomer chosen from acrylic acid and methacrylic acid, (a2) a monomer chosen from alkyl ester acrylate and alkyl ester methacrylate, and (a3) a monomer chosen from polyoxyethylene alkyl ester of acrylic acid and polyoxyethylene alkyl ester of methacrylic acid, (B) from 5 to 40 mass% of an oil agent, (C) from 0.01 to 1.5 mass% of a nonionic surfactant, (D) from 0.005 to 0.9 mass% of one or more chosen from (d1) a water-soluble salt and (d2) an acid and (E) water.
