Summary:The invention relates to a cable handling device (1) for handling a cable (2), in particular for clamping the cable (2) and/or for guiding the cable (2) to one or more cable processing stations (3). The cable handling device (1) comprises a cable guide (4), preferably in the form of a guide tube, by means of which a cable guide (5) is defined; a holding mechanism (7) for holding the cable guide mechanism (4), wherein the cable guide mechanism (4) can be removed from the holding mechanism (7). The cable handling device (1) is characterized in that the cable guide mechanism (4) is arranged on a carrier (6), the holding mechanism (7) forms a guide (8) the guide direction (9) of which is transverse, preferably perpendicular, to the cable guide (5), and an introduction point (10) for introducing the carrier (6) into the guide (8) is included, and the carrier (6) is guided through the guide (8) and is displaceable along the guide direction (9).
