Summary:In a process for the continuous epoxidation of propene with hydrogen peroxide, comprising a step a) of continuously reacting propene with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a titanium zeolite epoxidation catalyst to provide a liquid reaction mixture comprising propene oxide, the amount of molecular oxygen formed in step a) is determined, the titanium zeolite catalyst is regenerated when the molar ratio of molecular oxygen formed in step a) to the hydrogen peroxide fed to step a) exceeds a preset threshold value, and step a) is repeated with the regenerated titanium zeolite.
