Summary:A screw-type extruder is equipped with: a pair of screws; a casing, which houses the pair of screws and in which a material charging port is provided on the upstream side; and a roller die. The screws have a shaft part and a helical flight part provided on the outer circumferential surface of the shaft part. In the area from the end on the downstream side of the charging port to the end on the downstream side of the flight part, the clearance between the top of the flight part and the inner wall surface of the casing at the end on the downstream side of the charging port is larger than the clearance in other portions.
