The invention relates to an intermediate module (10) for connection between an electrical grid (82) and an electrical load (92a, 92b), comprising an input power terminal (12) for connection of the intermediate module (10) to the electrical grid (82), and an output power terminal (24) for connection of the electrical load (92a, 92b) to the intermediate module (10), the intermediate module (10) being designed to determined operational data regarding the electrical load (92a, 92b) and to transmit information regarding the determined operational data to the electrical grid (82) via the input power terminal (12), the input power terminal (12) having three external conductor input contacts (16a-c) for contacting one external conductor (84a-c) each of the electrical grid (82). The invention further relates to a receiver module (50) for receiving information regarding operational data of an electrical load (92a, 92b) from an electrical grid (82), to a monitoring system (80) having an intermediate module (10) and a receiver module (50), to a method for putting into operation an intermediate module (10), to a use of an intermediate module (10) for monitoring an electrical load (92a, 92b) and to a method for monitoring an electrical load (92a, 92b).
