The invention relates to a method for reidentifying a medical-information object, termed derived object (Β'), which is received (E1) by an equipment item of a clinical site originating from an equipment item of a non-clinical site via a communication network, said object (Β') comprising an image derived from an original image and at least one first metadatum (MRA') of attachment of a deidentified object (Α') comprising the original image, said method comprising the following steps: - Obtaining (E2) of the at least one first metadatum (MRA') in an unenciphered field of information items of the derived object (Β'); Obtaining (E3) of at least one second metadatum (MRA,Ch) of attachment of a main object (A) comprising the original image, said at least one second metadatum being contained in a corresponding enciphered information field of a second deidentified medical-information object (C), said second object furthermore comprising the at least one first metadatum (MRA') in a field of unenciphered information items; and - Creation of a reidentified object (B), comprising said derived image, on the basis of the at least one second metadatum obtained.
