Summary:The invention relates to a method for producing a wax prosthesis, comprising the following steps: A) using at least one virtual 3D model of preproduced prosthetic teeth and a virtual 3D model of a prosthetic base (8), B) producing a blank consisting of wax, C) subtractive machining of the blank according to the upper face of the model of the prosthetic base (8), D) producing a plurality of tooth sockets (9) in the upper face of the blank (8), a tooth socket (9) being produced in the blank (8) for each prosthetic tooth (2), and the tooth sockets (9) being made sufficiently deep so that each prosthetic tooth (2) can be inserted into the respective tooth socket (9) in such a way that the occlusal plane of the inserted prosthetic teeth (9) corresponds to the occlusal plane of the dental prosthesis model, E) inserting into and fixing the teeth (2) in the tooth sockets (9) of the blank (8), F) shortening the basal face (4) of the prosthetic teeth (2) fixed in the blank (8) in accordance with the lower face of the model of the prosthetic base, the prosthesis teeth (2) being shortened significantly more than required by the lower face of the model of the prosthetic base, and G) subtractive machining of the lower face of the blank (8) according to the lower face of the model of the prosthetic base. The invention also relates to a wax prosthesis and a dental prosthesis produced using such a method, and to a device for implementing such a method.
