Summary: | The invention relates to optimizing a heat load in a district heating network adapted to distribute heating medium into an entity to be heated. Nowadays, central district heating providers generate an indication about the energy cost, i.e. a price signal, on the basis of which heating can be timed to optimize heating costs during cold seasons. Using only the price signal can cause undesired peaks in the heating network load. To level peaks in heat load, the entity is divided into a number of enclosures, and, according to the method of the present invention, a thermal behavior scheme of each enclosure, attributes of the enclosures and external information relating to heating are obtained. On the basis of the obtained information one or more optimization schemes for optimizing heat load is created. |
