Summary:The invention relates to a system for continuously pickling and/or cold rolling metal strips, having a pickling region and a cold rolling region. The pickling region has an unwinding device, a welding device, a pickling device, and a winding device, and the cold rolling region has at least one pair of working rollers for rolling a metal strip to be rolled and a winding device for winding the rolled metal strip. The system has strip guiding elements which are arranged and designed such that in a coupled operation, the pickling region and the cold rolling region are coupled in terms of guiding a metal strip such that a continuous metal strip that is pickled in the pickling region can be supplied to the cold rolling region for rolling purposes and which are arranged and designed such that in an uncoupled operation, the pickling region and the cold rolling region are uncoupled in terms of guiding a metal strip.
