There is described a spout (3) comprising a base frame (4) to be fitted about a designated pour opening surface area of a package (2), an opening assembly (5) moveably coupled to the base frame (4) and being adapted to at least partially cut and/or rupture and/or open and/or pierce the designated pour opening surface area, and a control device configured to control the opening assembly (5) between a rest configuration and an operative configuration. The control device comprises at least one interaction element (29) connected to the opening assembly (5), at least one control ring rotatably coupled to the base frame (4) and at least one interaction member (30) connected to and/or coupled to the control ring and configured to interact with the interaction element (29). In use, upon rotation of the control ring around the rotation axis (E; F) the interaction member (30) interacts with the interaction element (29) such to induce a translation of a cutter (16) of the opening assembly (5) for controlling the opening assembly (5) from the rest configuration to the operative configuration and an axial end portion (31) of the interaction member (30) is arranged within a rotation plane which, in use, upon rotation of the control ring is fixed with respect to the base frame (4) .
