Summary:The energy allocation system (100) comprises a solar panel system (10) and a local energy storage system (20), each capable of being plugged into a power socket of a home grid and each having a communication unit (11,21). The system (100) further comprises a control unit (30), comprising a third communication unit (31), configured to receive the information relating to the solar panel system (10), and the information relating to the energy storage system (20) via said communication units (11, 21), and a processing unit (32). The processing unit (32) is configured to determine, based on the received information, an allocation of energy in the home grid to the energy storage system (20), and to accordingly generate a control signal for the energy storage system (20). The third communication unit (31) is further configured to transmit the generated control signal to the energy storage system (20).
