Summary:The present disclosure aims to improve circulation of intake air and distribution of bypass intake air to cylinders, while reducing an increase in the overall height of an engine. A supercharger 3 extends along a cylinder bank at a side of a surge tank 2 extending along the cylinder bank. A bypass pipe 15 branching off from an upstream intake pipe 9 configured to introduce the intake air into the supercharger 3 extends along the cylinder bank above the supercharger 3. A downstream side intake pipe 26 configured to guide the intake air from the supercharger 3 to the surge tank 2 extends downward from the supercharger 3. The downstream intake pipe 26 is, in a U-shape as viewed along the cylinder bank, connected to the surge tank 2.
