Summary:The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing foam panels having at least two layers by glueing together at least one thiner thermoplastic foam panel (TS) and at least one thinner duroplastic foam panel (DS), which are the starting panels. The thinner duroplastic foam panel (DS) comprises on each of its two opposite sides a metallic covering layer, a metallic covering layer being located in the foam panel having at least two layers produced by the method according to the invention between each of the two above-mentioned starting panels (TS) and (DS), after these panels have been glued together. The adhesive used for glueing the thinner thermoplastic foam panel (TS) and the thinner duroplastic foam panel (DS) together contains at least one inorganic component. The present invention further relates to the foam panel per se having at least two layers and to the use thereof for thermal insulation. Furthermore, it also relates to the outer wall to which the panel having at least two layers is applied.
