Summary: | The invention relates to an overvoltage protection device having connection elements, an overvoltage protection unit (ÜSE1), two contact elements (K1, K2), a slider (AS), a connection plate (B) and an energy store (F). The two contact elements (K1, K2) and the overvoltage protection unit (ÜSE1) are surrounded by an electrically non-conductive material on the surface. The electrically non-conductive material leaves free a connection region (A) formed on the second contact element (K2). In a first state, the connection plate (B) is connected to the connection region (A). The slider (AS) is arranged such that it can conduct on a surface of the electrically non-conductive material with the application of force, if the thermally softenable contact means softens in a second state, wherein the slider (AS) is shifted between the connection plate (B) and the connection region (A). The electrically non-conductive material is also assigned a further function. |
