Summary:A wash apparatus for a vehicle wash installation is provided, which includes a shaft drivable in rotation about a rotation axis and wash elements operatively connected thereto. In order to be able to adapt to the contour of a vehicle, the wash apparatus can be divided axially in two or more wash apparatus segments and that the at least one wash apparatus segment includes a wash element holding body having wash elements held thereto, said wash element holding body defining a wash apparatus segment axis which is different from the rotation axis, and a gear device which couples the shaft to the wash element holding body in order to rotate same about the wash apparatus segment axis, wherein the wash element holding body is configured for pivotal movement relative to the shaft via the gear device. Furthermore, a vehicle wash installation including a wash apparatus is provided.
