The invention relates to benzothiazole-containing silanes of the formula Iwhich are prepared by reacting benzothiazole-containing silanes of the formula IIwith a compound of formula IIIR2-H  (III).The benzothiazole-containing silanes of the formula I can be used in rubber mixtures.
