Summary:Systems and methods for determining a concentration of an analyte in a physiological fluid with a biosensor are presented. Current values are measured during application of voltage pulses across electrodes of the biosensor. Different intermediate analyte concentrations are calculated using different subsets of the measured current values and different scaling factors. A first intermediate analyte concentration has a first level of accuracy across a range of analyte concentrations. A second intermediate analyte concentration has a higher level of accuracy in the low range. A third intermediate analyte concentration has a higher level of accuracy in the high range. The concentration of the analyte is determined as a function of the different intermediate analyte concentrations. The second intermediate analyte concentration, the third intermediate analyte concentration or an average, is selected if the first intermediate analyte concentration is in the low range, the high range or in between, respectively.
