Summary:An object of the invention is to provide a railway vehicle structure having a configuration in which joint portions of a central portion side structure and an end portion side structure can be easily positioned and which can be easily and reliably manufactured. A railway vehicle structure (1) includes: an underframe (10) forming a floor surface, side structures (20) each forming a side surface, and a roof structure (40) mounted on upper end portions of the side structures (20). The side structure (20) includes a central portion side structure (22) provided at a central portion of the side structure (20) in a longitudinal direction, and an end portion side structure (24) provided at an end portion of the central portion side structure (22) in a longitudinal direction, and the central portion side structure (22) includes an extending portion (23), which extends to an end portion of the side structure (20) in the longitudinal direction, at an upper end in a height direction, and the end portion side structure (24) is provided at a lower portion of the extending portion (23).
