Summary:Disclosed is a method of heat-treating a titanium alloy part resulting from an additive manufacturing procedure, including arranging the titanium alloy part in an oven; heating to a first annealing temperature; maintaining the first annealing temperature for a first annealing duration; heating to a second annealing temperature, wherein the second annealing temperature exceeds the first annealing temperature; and subsequently cooling the titanium alloy part to room temperature. Further disclosed is a titanium alloy part that has been heat-treated using such a method.
