The thick, creamy consistency of the emulsion provides a moisturization signal to the consumer, but the shear thinning behavior of the high internal phase emulsion in combination with the superabsorbent polymer in the internal aqueous phase provide a light, cool, silky feel. The composition includes a non-thickening, superabsorbent polymer in the aqueous phase, but does not form visible beads of water when applied to skin.
