Summary:A chewing gum composition is provided which includes 10-35 wt % gum base and 50-80 wt % of a bulk sweetener blend comprising xylitol and sorbitol, and at least one of isomalt and maltitol, and wherein the gum composition is a molten gum composition. Chewing gum compositions are provided having different textures, i.e., soft, intermediate and crisp, where the amounts of polyols vary. Methods for making the chewing gum compositions also are provided.
