Summary:The present invention, makes it possible to specifically set an efficient position at which to measure gas concentration, effectively minimize the remainder of unburned fuel by a specific control method based on information representing the measured gas concentration, and improve the boiler efficiency. The present invention is provided with a burner (2), an air supply port (3), a secondary-air damper (42), a measurement unit (5) for measuring gas concentration in a furnace outlet (110), and a control device (90). The air-supply port (3) is divided into two or more groups (31-34), a measurement region (50) is divided in advance into a plurality of divided regions (51-54) correlated with each divided group (31-34). The control device (90) outputs flow rate control command values for secondary air for the air-supply ports in the respective groups (31-34) corresponding to each of the divided regions (51-54), the flow rate control command values being outputted on the basis of the deviation between the average value of the gas concentration across the entire measurement region (50) and the values for the gas concentration in each of the divided regions (51-54).
