Summary:In a laboratory balance (1) which has a weighing chamber (10) with a weighing chamber rear wall (4), a weighing pan (14) located inside the weighing chamber (10), a housing (11) adjoining the weighing chamber rear wall (4), and a weighing cell (12) located inside the housing (11), the weighing cell (12) includes a load-receiving structure (13) arranged on a side of the weighing cell (12) that faces the weighing chamber rear wall (4). The load-receiving structure (13) includes a suspension pin (27) extending in transverse direction of the load-receiving structure (13), the weighing pan (14) is movable in a longitudinal direction of the laboratory balance (1) towards and away from the weighing chamber rear wall (4), and the weighing chamber rear wall (4) has at least one passage opening (31) through which the weighing pan (14) can be brought into engagement with the load-receiving structure (13). The weighing pan (14) includes two sidebars (29) spaced apart and held together by a connecting member (30), each of the two sidebars (29) having a substantially L-shaped configuration with a substantially horizontal foot portion (55) and a substantially vertical leg portion (56) joined together at substantially a right angle. The vertical leg (56) includes a hook-shaped portion (64) configured to engage the suspension pin (27) of the load-receiving structure (13). According to the invention, the vertical portion (56) of each of the two sidebars (29) further includes a guiding portion (65) extending from the hook-shaped portion (64) in the opposite direction of the horizontal foot portion (55) and sloping upwards from the hook-shaped portion (64). Through sliding contact between the suspension pin (27) and the guiding portion (65), the hook-shaped portion (64), is guided to seat itself in an engaged position on the suspension pin (27).
