Summary:A thermoplastic package comprises a tray and a lidding film, both of which are suitable for recycling into a polyethylene terephthatate (PET) recycling stream. Packages comprise predominantly recyclable polyethylene terephthalate materials relative to the total weight of the package. Packages may be especially for retail display for containing a food such as fresh produce, cheeses and meats, and/or non-food product. Also provided is a manually openable package which includes a tray sealed to a lidding film laminate by a peelable heat seal.
