The device includes a plurality of electrical contacts, at least two of them coupled to a power supply, and each electrical contact of the plurality of electrical contacts is arranged for contacting a different contact surface of the electric vehicle. The device also includes a secondary contact forming a contact arrangement with one of the electrical contacts of the plurality of electrical contacts. The electrical contact and the secondary contact of the contact arrangement are arranged to contact the same contact surface of the vehicle.
