Summary:This disclosure relates to a rechargeable lithium battery, and a rechargeable lithium battery according to an example embodiment includes a negative electrode, a positive electrode including a positive active material, and a non-aqueous electrolyte, wherein the non-aqueous electrolyte includes a non-aqueous organic solvent, a lithium salt, a first additive including at least one of compounds represented by Chemical Formulae 1 to 4, and a second additive including at least one of compounds represented by Chemical Formula 5 and Chemical Formula 6, and the positive active material includes a compound including 70 mol% or greater of Ni. In Chemical Formulae 1 to 6, each substituent and n, m1, and m2 are the same as defined in the detailed description.
