Summary: | An object is to provide a novel silicone material that has an excellent surface activity ability and characteristics of an oil agent while being a material of a PEG-Free structure including no polyoxyalkylene structure and the like, enables ionic management and viscosity management which have been difficult to implement with conventional hydrophilic silicone materials, and has a unique property of an oil agent, to largely increase a degree of freedom of compounding and designing for a formulation technician, and to provide an application of the material. A silicone material according to the present invention is a novel organopolysiloxane or acid-neutralized salt thereof that contains
a side-chain bonded hydrophilic group having tertiary-amine structure and represented by Formula: -C q H 2q -O-CH 2 -CH(OH)-CH 2 -N(R Q1 )(R Q2 )
(wherein q is a number ranging from 1 to 6, R Q1 and R Q2 are a halogen-substituted or non-substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group or alkanol group, at least one of R Q1 and R Q2 has a hydroxyl group, but total number of hydroxyl groups in R Q1 and R Q2 is 3 or less), and any of R Q1 and R Q2 does not have a nitrogen atom in the group. |
