More Information
Summary:The invention relates to an acoustic probe (1) for acoustically measuring a medium flow in a measuring tube of a flow meter. The acoustic probe comprises a longitudinal axis (2) and a cylinder portion(3) made of a metal cylinder material having a cylinder side wall (4), a sound-permeable cylinder bottom (5), a cylinder port (6) opposite to the cylinder bottom (5), an electromechanical acoustic conversion element (9) adhered to the inner side of the cylinder bottom (5), two electric wires (14, 15) drawn from the cylinder port (6) and used for electrical contact of the electromechanical acoustic conversion element (9), a closure member (17) which is inserted into the cylinder portion (3) and closes the cylinder port (6). The cylinder side wall (4) is transformed at the level of the cylinderport (6) into a curved cylinder edge region (8) which extends in the lateral direction away from the longitudinal axis (2). The cylinder side wall (4) has a cylinder step (7), and the closing member(17) has a closing member step (26) corresponding to the cylinder step (7) in the closing member side wall (25), wherein the cylinder step ( 7) and the closing member steps (26) directly abut each other.
