Summary:A disassembled wind turbine 10 under repair includes a tower 12 secured to a foundation 14 and a nacelle 16 mounted atop the tower 12. The nacelle 16 includes a base wall 17, side walls 19, a front wall 21, a rear wall 23, and a top wall 25. The front wall 21 includes an opening 27 configured to receive a main shaft 34 of the wind turbine 10; however, the main shaft 34 and a rotor 18 of the wind turbine 10 have been removed from the nacelle 16 during a repair procedure. As such, the disassembled wind turbine 10 further includes an external platform assembly 50 secured at the opening 27 of the front wall 21 of the nacelle 16 during the repair procedure.
